- Q. Where do you take the photos, do you have a studio?
- A. The world is my studio. Your life doesn’t take place in a photo studio and your family memories shouldn’t be captured there either. The portraits I design for you are created outdoors at your favorite location or at your home. You’ll love the difference in expressions and posing when everyone is comfortable and relaxed.
- Q. What is unique about your process?
- A. When I am contacted about portraits, I often find that the parent who is calling may not know exactly how it works. I will help guide you through my process and actually listen to what it is that YOU want. This is much easier to do through either in person and/or by phone. It can be a lot to take in which is why sometimes a smile sitting across from you is most comforting in knowing that you are in the right hands.
- Q. Is there a reason you don’t talk about your achievements first?
- A. Creating portraits that my clients love means more to me than all the accolades and photographic achievements I’ve accumulated. Yes, I’m very proud to be one of the 8% of photographers in the world who hold the title of Certified Professional Photographer. I worked hard to achieve that title, but nothing compares to the reaction I receive when a family views their portraits for the first time!
- Q. Why do you have a passion for creating portraits?
- A. Every family deserves to be able to look back at their special moments and remember that exact time and place. Our milestone moments are too special to be left to memory alone. I love knowing that I’m helping families preserve traditions. Every family should own heirloom portraits they can pass down through generations. I’m very fortunate to have family photos from my childhood that always bring me back to a place and time that reminds me of my strong family ties! My desire is for you to experience the same!
- Q. What’s different about your portraiture?
- A. Families don’t live in photography studios! Families don’t build memories in photo studios! Milestone moments never take place in a photographer’s studio. Great portraits MUST be created out in the world that each family lives in! Emotional, amazing expressions happen where people are most comfortable. That’s where I create images for my clients that they’ll cherish! The world is my studio!
